CONO Concept
The original intent was to provide clear light at the dinner table and in the kitchen. The design assumes awareness of the existence and feeling of catching light when holding PMMA, a material used for optical equipment, in the hand. The shape is "conical-CONO" while the parts which are made of stainless steel are flat. Every detail is carefully designed while exploring the basics of the human quest for manufacturing. All of the products give a feeling of being chiselled out from a metal block. Wide-ranging products, including olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, soy sauce and chopstick containers, acting as interior items, are offered to serve a new lifestyle, not only in Japan but also in Western Europe where Oriental and Occidental forms are mixed to give a greater variety to daily life.
